The Company

Julia, a young qualified taster of oil,  founded the company “Colli della Regina” in 2016. The oil she produces comes exclusively from her 1800 olive trees  in Tuscania, Monte Romano and Tarquinia, all towns in the province of Viterbo, in Lazio. The oil is completely traceable, followed personally with care in all stages of production (including storage and bottling) and strictly assessed by Julia and other recognized tasters, in order to provide the highest quality product guarantees.

The oil "ALBA" comes from olives picked predominantly green, defined "albae" by the ancient Romans. The harvest takes place in early October when the olives are just beginning to go from green to black. This is the moment when the olive gives its best: it fully express the complexity of its aromas and it is when the oil is the most balanced and when there is a high content in polyphenols. The olives, one collected , are delivered to the mill to be pressed within a few hours to maintain the optimal quality of the oil. The mill is a modern continuous cycle machine with a strict control of the temperature that never exceeds 26° C. The "Alba" oil wants to best represent the territory in which it is born, the Etruscan Maremma also thanks to a sober and modern packaging, that recalls the Etruscan history and art (Etruscan Queen).

Alba Monocultivar Canino

The oil is characterised by a balanced golden and green colour, medium fruity notes of olive, fresh fruit (green apple), dried fruit (almond), fresh vegetable (thistle and olive leaf) and aromatic herbs (thyme) accompanied by light floral hints. The taste is lightly bitter, moderately spicy and with a medium aromatic persistence.
